Jack Vaughan graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws (honours) and a Bachelor of Arts in 2021. Whilst at university, Jack interned for a Senator in the Parliament of Australia by participating in the prestigious Australian National Internships Program. Jack is admitted to practice at the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory and joined Boettcher Law in 2020.
In the 16 months since joining the team, Jack has taken a keen interest in commercial litigation and intellectual property. Jack has assisted solicitors and counsel in several complex disputes in multiple jurisdictions including the Supreme Courts of the ACT and NSW. One such matter involved acting for a landlord against a commercial tenant for failure to meet various debts in the context of newly enacted COVID-19 commercial relief measures.
Jack has also thoroughly enjoyed his involvement in an unusual academic copyright claim against a university over the unauthorised publication of a student’s thesis on the university’s online portal.
Additionally, Jack has had extensive experience in property matters, acting for both vendors and purchasers in property transactions across the ACT and NSW.
Jack is passionate about providing prudent and cost-effective advice to ensure the success of his clients. Outside work, Jack enjoys politics, travel, good food and curating his monthly playlists.
